5 Square blocks-assignment




These were taken around my neighborhood. All were taken in the morning, around 8:30 a.m. My favorite shots ended up being the close-up ones. I like the "pattern" of the dewdrops on the first picture. I like the complementary colors of the pink flower and green grass in the second picture, and it sort of reminds me of a skirt twirling, which is why the soft focus of the petals doesn't bother me. The third picture captures how I felt on those amazingly sunny, WARM mornings last week...like I was reaching up to soak in the last bit of warmth before the weather changes. I was attempting to play with sun flare and backlighting. I took some landscape pictures of the fall colors, but they just didn't 'speak' to me.

Purple Coneflower: ISO 320, f/3.2, 1/60, 44 mm, extension tubes?
Dandelion: ISO 200, f/7.1, 1/80, 55 mm, extension tubes
